KING OF POPS

Shopify to HubSpot CMS Migration

Website Migration|December 2022 – April 2023

The Challenge

King of Pops had evolved from a single-product popsicle brand to a franchise operation with their Cartrepreneur program. Their Shopify website was built for e-commerce — selling popsicles — but the business now needed a content-heavy, lead-generating site that could support franchise recruitment, brand storytelling, and marketing campaigns. Shopify couldn't deliver that.

What We Did

  • Platform Evaluation: Guided King of Pops through evaluating HubSpot CMS Hub as a replacement for Shopify, demonstrating how the CMS features could enhance their overall website operation and provide easier ways to build and run campaigns
  • Theme Selection & Procurement: Led the theme selection process to procure a premium HubSpot theme from the marketplace. Leveraged HubSpot's Convert to a Theme service to accelerate the migration
  • Custom Development: Provided needed customizations including HubDB integration for structured, dynamic content (franchise locations, event listings, etc.) and custom integrations to complete the migration
  • CMS Hub Enablement: Enabled the marketing team to manage web pages, landing pages, and campaign content directly through HubSpot's drag-and-drop editor

RESULTS

Outcome

King of Pops launched a franchise-focused website that unified their web presence with their CRM and marketing operations. The team gained the ability to build campaign pages, manage franchise recruitment content, and update the site without developer involvement — a critical capability as the Cartrepreneur program scaled to 38+ franchises across 6 states.
